Operating between Amsterdam, Athens, and Nicosia, the studio functions as a distributed practice embedded in international artistic, institutional, and research contexts. Its projects merge emotional resonance with conceptual and structural precision, approaching sound not only as material but as a spatial and organizational force.
The studio’s work spans contemporary art, performance, and immersive media, encompassing audiovisual performances, interactive and autonomous installations, contemporary dance, theatre productions, and full-dome works. Projects developed through the studio have been presented internationally at institutions and festivals including MoMA PS1, the Venice Biennale, Bozar, Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, MACRO, the Benaki Museum, FOAM, TodaysArt Festival, SXSW, and the Athens Digital Arts Festival, among many others across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and the Americas.
Through interdisciplinary collaboration, the studio has built a diverse portfolio of works. Notable projects include the audiovisual series Green, False Awakenings, Go Back to Hiding in the Shadows, and Quickly Photographed and Released Unharmed; the audiovisual installation Topia, created with post-digital artist Zalán Szakács; and Drowning, a full-dome audiovisual performance developed with digital artist Maotik and presented in planetariums and immersive venues internationally. Other significant studio projects include plplpl.pl, an interactive audiovisual installation created with creative coder Matthias Oostrik; Mutual Wave Machine, a collaborative work developed with Oostrik and neuroscientist Suzanne Dikker; and Polaris, created with multidisciplinary artist Nikki Hock and the collective Children of the Light. The studio has also contributed to Anima, an immersive audiovisual performance with contemporary artist Nick Verstand; In Circles, an autonomous installation developed with producer Machteld Jacques; Tune In, a performance collaboration with choreographer Lia Haraki; #008000, an exploration of digital aesthetics created with creative coder Emmanuel Flores Elias; and Refractions, a research-driven project by artist and theorist Rosa Menkman, featuring sound design by Diamantides.
Alongside artistic production, Studio Pandelis Diamantides designs and develops custom software, interactive systems, and sonic frameworks for immersive and performative contexts. The studio’s practice is informed by long-standing engagement with research and academic institutions including the Cyprus University of Technology, the CYENS Centre of Excellence, and the ATHENA Research and Innovation Center. Within these contexts, the studio has played an active role in research and development across immersive technologies, human–computer interaction, and experimental media systems.
In parallel with its cultural and institutional work, the studio collaborates with commercial and corporate clients, creative agencies, and production partners on commissioned projects in audiovisual design, immersive environments, and interactive media. These projects span brand activations, exhibitions, digital platforms, and large-scale public presentations, translating research-driven experimentation into applied, production-ready solutions while meeting professional timelines and technical demands.
Studio Pandelis Diamantides operates as a site of continuous experimentation and collaboration, where artistic intuition, technical precision, institutional expertise, and commercial production converge to create focused, immersive encounters with sound, image, and time.
