Pandelis Diamantides is an Athenian-born interdisciplinary artist, electronic music composer, and researcher working at the intersection of sound, moving image, and digital technology. Based between Amsterdam, Athens, and Nicosia, his practice encompasses immersive installations, audiovisual environments, electronic music composition, and expanded-media performances. His work explores perception, embodiment, participation, and technological mediation, examining the relationships between human experience, computational systems, and the sensory conditions of contemporary life.

His work has been presented internationally at institutions including Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, MoMA PS1, Pioneer Works, EYE Filmmuseum, FOAM, Benaki Museum, Museum of Contemporary Art of Rome (MACRO), Light Art Museum Budapest, V2_ Institute for the Unstable Media, NRW-Forum Düsseldorf, and the Van Gogh Museum. His installations and performances have also appeared at international festivals and platforms including SXSW, TodaysArt, Art Rotterdam, i Light Singapore, GOGBOT, FIBER Festival, Athens Digital Arts Festival, Patchlab, KLANGLICHT, Bright Festival, Eufònic, and Ars Electronica Garden.

Selected works include Go Back to Hiding in the Shadows (2019), Quickly Photographed and Released Unharmed(2020), Παλμός (2023), Beautiful Is a Filter (2025), and Ground Studies for Pilots (2025).

His collaborative practice includes Mutual Wave Machine (2013–present), developed with Matthias Oostrik and neuroscientist Suzanne Dikker; plplpl.pl (2016–present), with Matthias Oostrik; Anima (2016), with Nick Verstand; Polaris (2016), with Nick Verstand, Nikki Hock, and Children of the Light; TOPIA (2019–present), with Zalán Szakács; Drowning (2021), with MAOTIK; Refractions (2022), initiated by Rosa Menkman; and Bluets (2025), with soprano Kristia Michael.

Alongside his artistic practice, Diamantides has maintained an active engagement with academic research, education, and creative technology. His research interests include auditory perception, computational creativity, human–computer interaction, interactive media, and immersive environments. He has held teaching and research appointments at the Cyprus University of Technology, CYENS Centre of Excellence, and ATHENA Research and Innovation Center, and has delivered lectures internationally.

His practice moves between autonomous artistic production, interdisciplinary collaboration, and research-led experimentation, approaching sound and moving image as interconnected materials through which technological systems become perceptible, embodied, and open to critical reflection.
