Biography

Pandelis Diamantides is an Athenian-born new media artist, electronic music composer, and academic researcher working at the intersection of sound, moving image, and digital technology. Dividing his practice between Amsterdam, Athens, and Nicosia, he develops immersive installations, audiovisual environments, sound compositions, and expanded media performances exploring perception, embodiment, and human connection within technological landscapes.
His multidisciplinary practice spans contemporary art, performance, theatre, installation, and research-driven media experimentation. Diamantides’ work has been presented internationally at MoMA PS1 (New York), the Venice Biennale, Bozar (Brussels), Museo Reina Sofía (Madrid), MACRO (Rome), the Benaki Museum (Athens), FOAM (Amsterdam), Athens Digital Arts Festival, TodaysArt Festival (The Hague), Amsterdam Dance Event, and venues throughout Europe, the Middle East, Asia, South America, and the United States.
Selected works include Go Back to Hiding in the Shadows (2019), Quickly Photographed and Released Unharmed (2020), Παλμός (2023), Ground Studies for Pilots (2025), and Beautiful Is a Filter (2025).
Collaborative projects include Mutual Wave Machine (2015), developed with creative coder Matthias Oostrik and neuroscientist Suzanne Dikker; plplpl.pl (2016), with creative coder Matthias Oostrik; Anima (2016), with light artist Nick Verstand; Polaris (2016), with Nick Verstand, Nikki Hock, and Children of the Light; Drowning (2021), with digital artist MAOTIK; Refractions (2022), a research-driven project by artist and theorist Rosa Menkman; the ongoing series TOPIA (2019–present), with light artist Zalán Szakács; and Bluets (2025), with soprano Kristia Michael.
Recognised for his work bridging art, science, and emerging technologies, Diamantides has lectured internationally at the China Academy of Art (Hangzhou), the University of The Andes (Bogotá), and the University of Peloponnese (Greece). Between 2017 and 2019, he served as Lecturer in Programming Multimedia at the Cyprus University of Technology, later continuing as Research Associate at the CYENS Centre of Excellence (Cyprus) and the ATHENA Research Center (Greece).
Working fluidly across installation, media performance, sound composition, and research-based artistic practice, Diamantides develops projects that combine technological experimentation with emotionally driven approaches to perception, memory, and human presence.

Biography
